During the weekend of September 26 we are in need of volunteers as we begin construction.  Our plan is to offer plots for community league members to begin growing their own gardens in Spring 2027! We have been working through the Community Led Project process with the City of Edmonton. Phase 1 will include; 5 raised beds & 10 in-ground garden plots as well as a water source. Much of our inspiration comes from our friends at the Twin Brooks Community Garden. Building a garden is an immense task, and many hands make light work. No special skills are needed as you will be working in a team, and we have tasks to suit every ability. This will count towards soccer or gardener volunteer commitments. Community League Day Movie in the Park ‘26 was a Huge Success.  All thanks to our brilliant sponsors and dozens of volunteers! Our parking lot was full of food trucks; YEG pizza, KONA Ice, SIP Espresso Bar, Street Taco YEG, Special Guest tents from Rhiannon Hoyle & Jon Morgan, Face Painting & Balloon Twisting, Servus Credit Union, EPL with Lauren Bell, Tent and demonstrations from Prime Taekwondo, Tent from Kirandeep Singh with Maxwell Polaris and of course our feature presentation Zootopia 2 in our Allard Rink.  

This event takes a lot of prep time to run smoothly, with a great group of volunteers that all come together to bring our neighbourhood together for one seamless event before the end of summer.  We greatly appreciate everyone who came out to make this day successful, business and volunteers.  We couldn't have done it without you!

Autumn is falling upon us—but the fun doesn't stop!

Our rink is the ultimate outdoor hangout this fall season. Bring the whole family and make the most of the cooler weather with space for everyone to play, relax, and connect.

Shoot hoops on our basketball nets that are at various heights, perfect for all ages and skill levels. Lace up and enjoy roller hockey on our full-size nets, or turn the rink into your own space for any game or activity you can dream up.

Need a break? Kick back at our picnic tables, connect with neighbours, and enjoy watching the kids play in a safe, lively community space. With garbage bins conveniently placed, it’s easy to keep everything clean while you enjoy the day.

This is more than a rink—it’s your community outdoor hub for cooler weather fun.

ACL’s dedicated Garden Committee is nearing the final stages of concept and design before our garden starts taking shape.  ACL has tripartite agreement for parkland that includes the community parking, rink shack, Allard Rink, and extends beyond the east side of the rink towards the fence behind the houses on the west side of Agar Green SW.  The league licensed land is outlined in the orange dotted line in this image.  Currently we are on track to begin construction of plots in summer 2026!  Our plan is to offer plots for community league members to begin growing their own gardens in Spring 2027!

Why Stay a Member? Members keep our League strong, sustainable, and responsive. More members = more funding, more volunteer capacity, more voices, and more community spirit. One of the benefits of your Allard Community League Membership is free swims for members of your immediate household on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. It's great fun to join with kids and family. Confederation Leisure Center is a salt water pool and has 1 & 3 meter springboards, a slide, 25 meter lane swim, hot tub, a swing/climbing rope & steam room.
